This listing is for an original vintage 1986 Ramones Temple University Spring Fling concert t-shirt and poster! The t-shirt is a men’s size large, and also promotes a charity volleyball marathon. It in very good condition for its age aside from what appear to be bleach stains on the left sleeve. The poster measures 14″ x 22″. PATTI SMITH, TELEVISION Original 1974 Concert Poster HOLY GRAIL

This is an authentic original (printed BEFORE the concert) poster advertising. PATTI SMITH with Lenny Kaye, guitar, and Richard Sohl, piano. TELEVISION (Richard Lloyd, Tom Verlaine, Richard Hell, Billy Fica). Appearing August 28-September 2, 1974 at the infamous Max’s Kansas City, In New York City. Background info: Patti Smith, after returning from a trip to Paris with her sister in early 1969, took up residence at the infamous Chelsea Hotel with Robert Mapplethorpe. By the close of 1969. She had been accepted as a fully fledged member of the Chelsea Hotel sect. When not writing poetry or working the till at Scribner’s bookstore, she could be found networking furiously in the hotel lobby. Within the year, Smith would become friends with such notable residents as Janis Joplin, Gregory Corso, Leonard Cohen, William Burroughs, and Harry Smith. Eager to establish contacts in the literary and artistic worlds, Smith and Mapplethorpe took to hanging out at the terminally hip Max’s Kansas City, which numbered among its diverse clientele such luminaries as Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Larry Rivers, and Robert Rauschenberg, as well as numerous celebrities from the realms of politics, high society, film and fashion. Just a few years later, first in 1973, Patti would be performing at Max’s Kansas City, first as the opening act for the New York Dolls (January 5-8, 1973) and then again as opening act for Phil Ochs (December 26-31, 1973) and then in 1974 as opening act for Elephant’s Memory (July 10-22, 1974) and then finally achieving headliner status, with TELEVISION as her opening act on August 28-September 2, 1974, the shows advertised in this historic poster! This is another “holy grail” of Patti Smith memorabilia from my personal collection. I’ve been collecting Patti Smith since the 1970s and this is one of only a handful of authentic posters that I have ever seen for this series of shows. This one was obtained from Richard Hell, who designed and had it printed at the time. I have seen reprints on a heavier paper, but this, one of the few surviving originals, is on a very thin paper. The Melvins Concert Poster Flyer Olympia Seattle First Billed Show 1984

The Melvins, House of Commons, Idle Worship, Death Sentence concert poster flyer. Offset or photocopy process. This is the first Melvins flyer for a show, and the first billed show for the band. They played two prior gigs, both in 1983 – A Thriftway (grocery store) parking lot, and an Elks Lodge. Handbill is straight-up red (orange tint in photo is due to poor lighting). I have many punk, alternative, grunge and metal flyers listed – Check them out! I have been collecting NW concert posters since the early 1980’s. Most all of my collection came from me pulling off poles/windows after shows, directly from the artists who created the work (many pieces are signed by the artist), and from a few friends/acquaintances within the collecting/archiving community. All are 100% original – no reproductions. Please check out photos for any flaws and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing or making an offer. Most of my listings are in great condition. Some have a few staple/pin holes, or stains, tape, creases, wrinkles and so on. All have been stored flat and dry in plastic sleeves for many years. Rolling Stones European Tour 1970 Vintage Original Tour Concert Poster Mint

Rare original in very nice shape. See numerous pics for condition so that you will see exactly whats what. 24 x 33 1/2. Please write if any questions or need more photos. See poster story below. In 1970, The Rolling Stones office contacted the Royal College of Art and asked if they could recommend a student to come along and meet with lead singer Mick Jagger to discuss the designing of a poster for their forthcoming European tour. Two weeks later the fortunate student, a young John Pasche, delivered the finished artwork which was approved by the band. Jagger surprised student and visitors by turning up at the Royal College unannounced to see the artwork exhibited in Pasches degree show exhibition. Due to the success of the poster art, Pasche was then commissioned to design a logo for their independent record label and the tongue and lips was born. The first major outing for the logo was on the inner bag for the Stones 1971 album Sticky Fingers. By 1972, Pasche had formed a successful working relationship with Jagger and was asked to design a poster for their 1972 American Tour which featured the logo on their tour plane. In subsequent years, the poster became a major collectors item in the States.
