This is an original authentic (printed before the concert) program from the 4th Annual Pittsburgh-Courier Band Popularity Poll Winners MIDNITE JAZZ CONCERT on Saturday Eve. March 15, 1947 that featured among many others. Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie and many more. The concert was the biggest attraction in New York featuring all the greatest jazz stars and was a benefit for the Courier Charities Fund. The program measures 8 1/2 x 11 inches and is in VG+++/NM- condition with a very slight vertical crease that is only apparent from the back cover. 24 pages of photos articles and ads! The third photo I posted I found on-line of Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Illinois Jacquet, Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Guy (who was Billie’s trumpeter, lover and drug supplier at the time) backstage at this concert.
