Scarce and highly collectible original first printing concert poster advertising legendary The Cure at the Markthalle in Hamburg [Germany] on Thursday, 16th October, 1980, with German post-punk band Abwärts as special guests. The concert in Hamburg was the last stop on a nine-date German tour in support of the. Recorded at London’s Morgan Studios and produced by Mike Hedges and Robert Smith, the album was released on 22nd April, 1980 by Fiction Records. After the departure of original bassist Michael Dempsey, Simon Gallup became an official member along with keyboardist Matthieu Hartley. Containing the single “A Forest”, the album peaked at #20 on the British Album charts. The poster measures 59.4 x 83.7 cm approx. 23.4 by 33.1 inches and is beautifully printed on thin, matte-coated paper stock.
