An original Joy Division concert poster for a performance by Joy Division at The Factory, Russell Club, Manchester. The poster is for a concert performance that took place on 13. Around 450 people attended the concert where the group performed tracks including Dead Souls, Insight, Shadowplay, Disorder and Transmission. It has been signed in the lower right corner by music and cultural critic Jon Savage, who designed the artwork. The poster also comes with a certificate of authenticity from The Rob Gretton Archive which reads: The Rob Gretton Archive Joy Division Shimmy Poster Designed by Jon Savage 1979 This certificate certifies ownership of an original item from the archive of Rob Gretton. All items are original and have been maintained and stored solely within the archive at all times. The signatory hereby confirms the authenticity of this item. Lesley Gilbert Partner of Rob Gretton. The poster measures 44cm x 63.5cm (17.25 inches x 25 inches). There is some very light creasing to the poster. The condition is near mint. The first item is charged at the normal rate.
