Band: The Sugarcubes (featuring Björk). Special Guest: The Primitives. Date: February 26, 1990. Venue: Glenn Miller Ballroom (University of Colorado, Boulder). Type: Original local promotional concert flyer / poster. Size: 16.25″ x 10.13″. Material: Paper mounted to rigid foam board backing. Up for sale is a rare piece of alternative rock history: an original 1990 local promotional concert poster/flyer advertising The Sugarcubes (featuring a young Björk) with special guests The Primitives at the Glenn Miller Ballroom in Boulder, CO. Presented by the student-run CU Program Council and the iconic local alternative radio station KTCL, this specific regional variant is highly unique and difficult to find online compared to standard tour merchandise. This historic poster captures a vibrant snapshot from the band’s North American tour supporting their second studio album, Here Today, Tomorrow Next Week! . The Boulder stop on Monday, February 26, 1990, was particularly triumphant, coming just ten days after a chaotic show at the Hollywood Palladium where a young Björk had to walk off stage due to severe vocal strain. By the time they reached the Rockies, she was back in peak form, treating the audience to her signature captivating, ethereal vocals alongside co-vocalist Einar Örn’s frantic punk energy on staple hits like “Birthday, ” “Motorcrash, ” and Cold Sweat. The concert took place at the Glenn Miller Ballroom, a legendary fixture of the University of Colorado campus that served as a premier cultural hub, consistently booking cutting-edge indie and alternative artists right before they exploded into global superstardom. Decades later, this performance remains a highly nostalgic landmark event for Colorado’s alternative music scene and a foundational chapter in Björk’s early career-making this poster a fantastic piece of nostalgia for fans of 90s indie, college rock, and Björk collectors alike. Condition is Good; reverse foam side shows use and wear. We welcome all offers and inquiries, more photos and information available upon request.
