This is an original concert poster advertising a show featuring the Chocolate Watchband, The Otherside and Arther. This show took place 9/5/66 at Skate Arena in Sunnyvale. This ultra-rare, possibly one-of-a-kind poster measures approximately 11″x17″ and is in good condition. It was folded into quarters with an additional center fold, and shows edge wear, a short edge tear at the top center, tape residue near the corners on the back and front, and tape pulls that have caused a bit of ink loss at the bottom and near the upper left corner.

Cool psychedelic Abe Lincoln with a paisley tophat and a guitar illustrates this original 1967 poster for the Mojo Men, Chocolate Watch Band and the great, great LOVE at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. Artwork by Sparta Graphics. I’ve had this for over 25 years – picked it up in SF at Amoeba if memory served and it looks to me like it could have been one used to advertise the show. It has several tiny staple holes, a small bit of paper damage in the top right corner and a little bit of minor staining along the right margin in the white space. Overall in very nice condition. We are pleased to be able to offer this incredibly scarce, Grateful Dead/ Hells Angels item for sale. This collectible was created to quickly get the word out about a wake for Chocolate George Hendricks. Chocolate George was a beloved figure in the Haight and a highly regarded Hells Angel. He was killed in an accident on Haight Street on August 24th. The longtime association between the Hells Angels and the Grateful Dead goes back to the band’s earliest day. The well-known Motorcycle club staged several events over the years that featured the Dead. The posters and handbills from these occurrences are some of the most desirable and valuable paper Grateful Dead advertisements ever created. This completely original and piece is a real gem; very few of these have survived. This one looks like it was taken out of a binder. TO make this lot even more RARE we have 2 snapshot photos of the actual motorcycle procession.
