1962 Little Milton Blues Concert Window Card Poster Fontella Bass Oliver Sain
This is an original vintage c. 1962 Window Card poster for a blues concert by Little Milton, Fontella Bass and Oliver Sain. This window card measures about 22 x 14 and has photos of the three stars pasted onto the poster and an ink stamp from Vets Sign & Art Shop of 3700 Easton Avenue in St Louis, Missouri. The text of the poster touts Little Milton as a. And mentions his hit songs. So Mean To Me, I Need Somebody. Saving My Love For You. The poster touts Fontella Bass as a. And mentions her hits. I Dont Hurt Anymore. Oliver Sain is touted as a Bobbin Recording Artist and the poster highlights his hits. Oliver Sain had a 45 record released on the Bobbin label in April 1962 that featured. And the other song titles suggest this poster would have been issued in 1962. The poster is printed on cardboard and is a tour blank with space on the top margin to overprint the venue. This window card is unrestored and has wear on the edges, bumped corners and a trace of staining on the edges in places. This window card also looks like it was used as a cutting mat and has several slices or cuts in the center area but nothing cut off or missing. The slices are visible if you are close but don’t detract much in my opinion and the window card still displays nicely. No attempt has been made at any type of restoration or repair. This is a vintage original featuring three Mississippi born blues legends from the early 1960s. The following is some information on Little Milton from Wikipedia. James Milton Campbell, Jr. (September 7, 1934 August 4, 2005), better known as Little Milton, was an American blues [1] singer and guitarist, best known for his hit records “Grits Ain’t Groceries, ” “Walking the Back Streets and Crying, ” and We’re Gonna Make It. Milton was born James Milton Campbell, Jr. In the Mississippi Delta town of Inverness and raised in Greenville by a farmer and local blues musician. [2] By age twelve he was a street musician, chiefly influenced by T-Bone Walker and his blues and rock and roll contemporaries. [2] He joined the Rhythm Aces in the early part of the 1950s, a three piece band who played throughout the Mississippi Delta area. [3] One of the group was Eddie Cusic who taught Milton to play the guitar. [4] In 1952, while still a teenager playing in local bars, he caught the attention of Ike Turner, who was at that time a talent scout for Sam Phillips’ Sun Records. He signed a contract with the label and recorded a number of singles. After trying several labels without notable success, including Trumpet Records, [5] Milton set up the St. Louis based Bobbin Records label, which ultimately scored a distribution deal with Leonard Chess’ Chess Records. [2] As a record producer, Milton helped bring artists such as Albert King and Fontella Bass to fame, while experiencing his own success for the first time. [2] After a number of small format and regional hits, his 1962 single, “So Mean to Me, ” broke onto the Billboard R&B chart, eventually peaking at #14. After the ill-received “Blind Man” (R&B: #86), he released back-to-back hit singles. The first, “We’re Gonna Make It, ” a blues-infused soul song, topped the R&B chart and broke through onto Top 40 radio, a format then dominated largely by white artists. He followed the song with #4 R&B hit Who’s Cheating Who? All three songs were featured on his album, We’re Gonna Make It, released that summer. Throughout the late 1960s Milton released a number of moderately successful singles, but did not issue a further album until 1969, with Grits Ain’t Groceries featuring his hit of the same name, as well as “Just a Little Bit” and “Baby, I Love You”. With the death of Leonard Chess the same year, Milton’s distributor, Checker Records fell into disarray, and Milton joined the Stax label two years later. [2] Adding complex orchestration to his works, Milton scored hits with “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” and “What It Is” from his live album, What It Is: Live at Montreux. He appeared in the documentary film, Wattstax, which was released in 1973. After leaving Stax, Milton struggled to maintain a career, moving first to Evidence, then the MCA imprint Mobile Fidelity Records, before finding a home at the independent record label, Malaco Records, where he remained for much of the remainder of his career. [2] His last hit single, “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But a Number, ” was released in 1983 from the album of the same name. [2] In 1988, Little Milton was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame and won a W. [2] His final album, Think of Me, was released in May 2005 on the Telarc imprint, and included writing and guitar on three songs by Peter Shoulder of the UK-based blues-rock trio Winterville. Miltons song “Let Me Down Easy” was recorded by the Spencer Davis Group on The Second Album (1965), but his authorship was not acknowledged on the record. He released a single of it himself in 1968 on Checker. [7] It was also chosen by Etta James as the final track in her final album The Dreamer in 2011. Milton died on August 4, 2005 from complications following a stroke. We’re Gonna Make It (1965, Checker) R&B #3 U. Sings Big Blues (1966, Checker). Grits Ain’t Groceries (1969, Chess) R&B #41 U. A Star Is Born Movie Concert Poster Barbra Streisand

A Star Is Born Movie Concert Poster Barbra Streisand

A Star Is Born Movie Concert Poster Barbra Streisand
A STAR IS BORN. ONE SHEET ORIGINAL MOVIE / CONCERT POSTER 1977. For 1000’s of Vintage Movie Posters. If it has any minor defects like pin holes, creases, etc. And they are not mentioned above, they should be visible in the high resolution photo. WE DO NOT SELL REPRODUCTIONS OF ANY KIND. NO FAKES, NO REPRINTS. Perfect for a high end home theater. Highly sought after by movie poster collectors and aficionados. Get notified of our AUCTIONS & NEW INVENTORY instantly! This is what all you. Fans have been waiting for! ROLLED, UNUSED, NEVER FOLDED! Beautiful artwork is featured on this 27″ x 41″ poster that was made to advertise a live concert at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Az for the filming of “A Star is Born”. Extremely rare, these do not show up often! This is not an “original movie poster” as it was not meant for display in theaters. It is however extremely rare as it was used in the making of the film. These can be very difficult to find in any condition! A long time can go by without one of these coming up for sale. You will have trouble finding a nicer one. No tears, no tape, no pin holes, no writing, no stains. Very little general storage wear. Please examine our extra large images very carefully!! These detailed photos generally speak for themselves. If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition like this one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors will place a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restored one). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items to restored ones because they believe they will appreciate more in value. This poster is considered to be within that class and is definitely INVESTMENT QUALITY. This is NOT a reprint or reproduction poster! We are absolutely certain it is authentic. We use super strong hi-quality packaging materials including thick cardboard, masonite, and costly pvc plastic pipe. (Please see below for details). It will answer any questions you may have. Please scroll to the bottom of this listing to see if we have made any changes or added any additional information. Please be advised that over 95% of all Original Movie Posters. Printed before the mid 1980’s were issued FOLDED. This is NOT considered a defect. Vintage rolled posters do exist, however they are extremely rare. We can have any folded poster. Which will make the fold lines virtually disappear. Also please note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater, and some will contain slight imperfections such as: writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, small tears, etc. These are all very common and to be expected, but if they bother you, all these minor flaws can be remedied in the linen backing process. Linen Backing preserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the most part, any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in Near Mint condition. For more information about our. We do not always measure all of our posters exactly. Unless otherwise specified, poster measurements quoted above are approximate to the nearest inch. For example, if we say a one sheet poster is 27″ x 41″ its precise measurements may be closer to 26 3/4″ x 40 7/8″ (or something similar). This slight variance is quite common for all original movie posters. BEWARE OF “FAKE” MOVIE POSTERS! There are fakes, bootlegs, reprints, and reproductions of almost every popular movie poster. WE DO NOT SELL THESE AS ORIGINALS LIKE OTHERS DO! There are many unscrupulous dealers who successfully pass off these posters as originals. They have been doing it for years! These fakes are almost indistinguishable from originals, only experts can tell. They only discover years later when they sell them that they are worthless. Most are from popular movies from the 70’s and 80s, but there are also really old ones and relatively new ones as well. They usually appear in insert size 14″ x 36″ and one sheet size 27″ x 41″. Again, all we can say is BEWARE! We grade our posters according to the Iguide Universal 10-Point Movie Poster Grading Scale. C10 Mint – Investment quality. No perceptible flaws of any kind. C9 Near Mint – Investment quality. Minor flaw on an otherwise unused poster. C8 Excellent – Investment quality. A few minor defects. C7 Very Good to Excellent – Fine condition. Still a very nicely preserved item. C6 Very Good – The typical used poster in average condition. C5 Good to Very Good – A heavily-worn item. C4 Good – Below average but still suitable for display. C3 Fair – Heavily worn, but yet still complete. C2 Poor to Fair – An extremely worn, possibly even incomplete item. C1 Poor – The lowest grade, representing items in the lowest possible condition. Some of our posters are “between grades”. For example, a C8-C9 poster will contain all the qualities/characteristics of a Near Mint C9 except for one or two very minor flaws that we believe prevent it from being a true C9. Sometimes it isn’t possible to do this. Sometimes we can’t roll a folded poster. Please note that if we hold your items for longer than 30 days they will NOT BE RETURNABLE. WE TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE WHEN WE PACKAGE YOUR ITEMS. Folded posters are placed in a plastic bag or envelope and in between STRONG pieces of cardboard and taped together before being placed in the package. Rolled posters are put into a plastic sleeve and then placed in a HEAVY-DUTY TOUGH 3 or 4 diameter thick walled PVC tube. We roll the poster into a smaller diameter than the tube. This is VERY IMPORTANT because it gives the edges strength and helps to prevent them from getting wrinkled. We add soft cushioning material also very important! On the ends to prevent them from getting damaged. We stamp FRAGILE: DO NOT BEND on the outside of the package. EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ. To protect ourselves, we insure expensive items for the FULL AMOUNT. These combined charges can add up to 25% or more to your final cost. For other European countries the charges will differ. Please check with your postal system on their procedure for packages from overseas so you are not unpleasantly surprised. You must notify us before sending it back. This is extremely rare, but it does occasionally happen. We know how to create a listing that will provide you with the highest dollar possible. We can yield for you MUCH MORE than you would get if you auctioned them yourself up to TEN TIMES or more! Let us sell your posters for you! For more information about CineMasterpieces please see. We guarantee that all posters we sell are graded and described accurately. Unless otherwise specified in the description, ALL POSTERS ARE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS original theatrical movie posters that were displayed or meant for display (unused) in theaters at the time the movies were released. The Cream SIGNED Royal Albert Hall concert poster by Eric Clapton, Ginger & Jack
Extremely rare full sized concert poster signed by the band and the artist. I think they signed just a few of these the night of the show. Thank you so much for viewing my auctions. I have been getting autographs in person in the Pacific Northwest for over 2.5 decades. I also traveled frequently over the years to get autographs up and down the west coast and beyond. Couple this with the fact that more and more people simply dont sign or sign very little. This is why only a handful of people do this in each city and is why people who sell real autographs have seemingly high prices. I guarantee everything I sell to pass any reasonable TPA such as ACOA, PSA, JSA or Roger Epperson. For albums I use crush proof mailers and I used chip boards and backers and bubble envelopes etc. Please keep this in mind. Condition and specific item details. I list a lot of stuff guys. It takes a lot of time. I cant always list every single detail so I ask that if you have a specific question about condition or potential minute flaws that you just ask. Getting autographs can be like a scrum and items can get little marks or dents along the way. Usually not, but it can happen. So while 99% of the items are perfect relative to the context, for example a used record is USED!! Some items may have minor flaws so if you are a stickler for details shoot me a message here and I will specifically check for you but it its noteworthy Id be forthcoming or just not list it. This also applies to where I got the item signed. I do not take proof photos. Proof photos are one of the biggest scams in the hobby. 99% of the time they dont show your specific items being signed so they prove nothing other than said person was signing autographs at some point in time. These photos are used repeatedly as a license to forge. People alter these images by photo shopping items into pictures and you can go online and grab any proof photos and use them as your own. I dont wish to make the signer uncomfortable and stop signing, my goal is to get more autographs, not generic images of them signing. Proof photos are big business in LA and NY for example where that photo being a license to forge is more valuable than the autograph itself. NY, LA and the UK are cesspools of the forging empire. Keep this in mind. The biggest myth in this hobby is that COAs prove authenticity. This doesnt even apply to top TPAs such as Becket or PSA. I regularly see fake times with TPA certs as do I see them fail real items. Authentication isnt an exact science so like any human they often make mistakes. I do not offer TPA certs with my items. I got them signed myself so I know they are real and dont need to pay someone else for their opinion on the matter. If you want a top TPA cert you will need to acquire this on your own at your own cost. Usually quick opinions can be had for a fraction of the cost too. I also do not offer a personal COA. A personal COA is just paper, it has no meaningful power of authenticity on the open market so what is the point? Im willing to give you something tangible but not a homemade meaningless COA.
