Buffalo Springfield Santa Barbara 1967. Buffalo Springfield formed in Los Angeles in 1966 with Stephen Stills (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Dewey Martin (drums, vocals), Bruce Palmer (bass guitar), Richie Furay (guitar, vocals) and Neil Young (guitar, harmonica, piano, vocals). The band signed to Atlantic Records in 1966 and released their debut single “Nowadays Clancy Can’t Even Sing”, which became a hit in Los Angeles. The following January, they released the protest song “For What It’s Worth”, which became their only US top 10 hit and a counterculture anthem. Their second album, Buffalo Springfield Again, marked their progression to psychedelia and hard rock and featured songs such as “Bluebird” and Mr. After several drug-related arrests and line-up changes, the group disbanded in 1968. Tolmach for live concert appearances by Buffalo Springfield with Neil Young and Stephen Stills at the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara, California on November 4th, 1967 when their song “For What it’s Worth” was climbing the record charts. Featured in the Art of Rock as Plate #3.39. Measuring 16 1/2″ x 22″ this 59 year old Vintage Fillmore collectible is the FIRST Printing. The print run for First Printings was quite small and it’s extremely rare to find a mint copy. This copy is in Excellent MINT condition. As you can see it’s CGC graded at 9.8. I see no flaws. I have seen another version of the flyer with all kinds of names of bands, Big Brother, Van Morrsion, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Chuck Berry.. I think alot of those bands were no shows and this flyer is more representative of who actually played the show. Don’t know for sure, but a handful of these are local bands of some repute, so it seems more likely and the other version seems far more idealistic rather than realistic. The edges of the item, where the diagonal color bars meet the vertical and horizontal edges measure inches, roughly. There is an entirely different process used in making each type of image. A lithograph is a very high quality machine printed image made by using a 4 color separation process much like how the covers of any color magazine is printed. A serigraph is a silk screened image. With a serigraph the original oil painting is scanned and separated digitally into each and every color found in the original. A separate silk screen is created for each and every color that was scanned. There are usually from 80 to 130 individual colors in the majority of some serigraphs. Each silk screen is precisely placed over the serigraph paper, and then by hand squeegee, paint for a specific color is applied. This single application of one paint color must then dry for at least 24 to 48 hours before the next color paint can be applied. It can take a serigraph up to 6 months to produce 1 run of as many as 500 serigraphs of the same image. Serigraphs are also produced in much smaller numbers than lithographs, and they are as costly to produce, and as close to the actual original painting as you can possibly get. BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD YOUNGBLOODS Salt Lake City Utah 1968 VERY RARE POSTER

Presented for your consideration is this gorgeous super rare ORIGINAL first printing concert poster created for concert appearances by Buffalo Springfield, HP Lovecraft, and the Youngbloods at the Salt Lake Coliseum in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 30th, 1968. Measuring 22 x 28 this gorgeous 52 year old concert poster remains in Very Good/Excellent condition. In 1968 this poster was taped to a wall. The lower right and left corners each still each have one piece of clear tape. The top right and left corners each have two pieces of clear tap and it looks like someone tried to pull a piece off (unsuccessfully) from each corner and left the tape there as they saw it would remove the paper from the poster so there is a little bit of paper loss in those two corners. Aside from this corner tape issue this ultra rare poster presents very very well. Please see the photos, A qualified poster restorer could easily fix those issues if youd like.
