There is no denying the impact and indelible imprint that this song had on the Summer of Love. Bonnie MacLean was the artist for this poster and she managed to capture something quite special and unique within the androgynous face depicted in it. There is a quizzical, indifferent, and almost aloof expression that seems to crystallize and capture that moment when America’s youth were discovering new possibilities or “doors” to enlightenment.
