Original Vintage French Poster “Concert Parisienl” by Grun 1897. Concert Parisien opened in 1867 on the corner of the Faubourg Saint-Denis and the Rue de l’Echiquier. Jules-Alexandre Grun (25 May 1868 15 February 1934) was a French post-impressionist painter, poster artist, and illustrator. [1] Grun’s best known painting is called The Dinner Party, produced in 1911. It was, however, in the fields of poster art and illustration art, for which he was famous. He was employed at a large printing company in Paris and his artistic director was Jules Cheret. Cheret was also his main competitor in poster art. This Poster is published in Grun Posters Book by Israel Perry and Alain Weill , 2005, Page 46. A- to B+ folds, restoration along folds, color fresh, no paper missing. On April 21st, the world lost one of the greatest performers of all-time, Prince. His music touched so many fans and inspired uncountable artists. His music spanned decades, with many of his hits coming around the time of this Belgium show on August 27th, 1986. In 1984, he released his hit movie and album Purple Rain ; in 1985, Raspberry Beret hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100; and in 1986, his album Parade included Kiss, which would go to No. After his Hit n Run Parade Tour , he disbanded The Revolution and went back to solo work. So this concert happened in an era which most people believe included Princes best work. This original poster, measuring 27 5/8 x 39 1/4, is on thin paper that has been stored rolled. The poster is in outstanding shape, with only 1-2 very light roll-creases, which would flatten out if stored flat with some heavy objects weighing it down. Otherwise, there are no rips or tears in the thin paper. This is a rare Prince poster, for a recently passed legend. After recording two hits, A Fool in Love and Its Gonna Work Out Fine, the infamous duo of Ike & Tina Turner struggled to hit their stride and went back to touring the chitlin circuit. By this December, 1964 show at the Continental Club in Oakland, CA, The Ike & Tina Turner Revue was starting to hit their musical stride. Soon after, they were opening for the Rolling Stones on their U. The group would continue to record, tour, and fight, seeing great success in the early 1970s. This oversize poster, measuring 17 1/8 x 28 3/8, is on cardboard similar to other boxing style posters. The colors are very vibrant, but there has been some restoration work done to the front of the poster. The poster still displays very well and would be a prized piece in any collection. The Who Russ Gibb 1968 CNE Coliseum Original Fillmore-Era Concert Poster

One and a half years after Detroit promoter, Russ Gibb, started holding shows at the Grande Ballroom, he began bringing acts up to Canada. His first Canadian show was the Jimi Hendrix Experience in February of 1968. He saw how thirsty the canucks were for a heavy dose of rock n roll and brought the Who, the Troggs, MC5, and Raja to the 8,000 person CNE Coliseum two months later on April 7th, 1968. This 1st printing poster, measuring 12 7/8 x 21 7/8, is on uncoated paper stock similar to Fillmore posters from the same era. This poster is in mint condition, with the smallest white mark in the right border, 2 from the top corner. This would be a very clean addition to a Who, Grande/Russ Gibb, or Gary Grimshaw collector. State Theatre, Minneapolis, MN. Original Signed 2006 Concert Poster by SQUAD19. S quad19 is largely the brainchild of Minneapolis Artist and Art Director Steve Tenebrini, a personal brand to play with both solo and in collaboration with other artists. Since planting the flag in 2000, Squad19 has been collaboratively making hand printed rock posters, art prints and other random goods for home and club as well as organizing group gallery shows and art exhibitions. Add to that Tenebrini’s over ten years of experience in creative direction and design for interactive and cross media marketing for brands such as Harley-Davidson, Subaru, Victory and Indian Motorcycles and you’ve got a little powder-keg of creative network possibilities. Ween was an American experimental rock band from New Hope, Pennsylvania that formed in 1984. The key members were vocalist and songwriter Aaron Freeman and guitarist Mickey Melchiondo Jr. And the two performed as a duo backed by a Digital Audio Tape for the band’s first ten years of existence before expanding to a four piece act. The choice of pseudonyms was inspired by The Ramones, and both members were more commonly referred to by their fans as Gene/Gener or Dean/Deaner than their real names. The band’s style was eclectic, and while they could generally be referred to as rock music, one of their defining tendencies has been experimentation with various styles incorporating a strong element of humor and absurdity. Despite being generally unknown in pop music, Ween developed a large, devoted cult following. After a 28-year run, Freeman quit the band in 2012, effectively ending Ween. An original signed and numbered poster designed by Squad19 for a Ween concert in 2006 at State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. It is a hand-pulled screenprint in very good condition and from an edition 150 posters. A stylized version of an anatomical drawing of a hand and forearm drawn in green and red. Although the name Ween doesn’t stand out on the poster it is there, each green section of the arm is shaped like a letter with the “w” at the top!
