Rob Jones White Stripes Vancouver 2003 concert poster Jack White RARE
The year was 2003 and Rob Jones had just burst onto the White Stripes scene as Jack White’s go-to designer for gig-posters and merchandise. It seems that Jones was unstoppable with his 2003 tour poster designs and this one he did for the 9/15/2003 Vancouver show at the Plaza of Nations is now exception. This is an extremely rare poster from that show with and limited edition size of just 333 of course J. Would of approved of that amount and a far less amount survive in excellent condition like this one which is both signed and #’d by Jones. The image is of Saint Cecilia, the patroness of musicians. Rob Jones is notorious for hidden images in his posters and this one is no exception… In the upper left corner you will notice and underprinted layer of “11/22″ which is the memorial feast day for Saint Cecilia. The imagery for this poster was taken from stained glass in Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford, England (see the last picture of the original stained glass). This poster is 20″ x 26″ and has been stored flat for years in excellent condition.
