2005 RARE Ames Bros VEGOOSE Concert Poster With Concert Ticket From Show Oct 29

This VERY RARE 2005 Ames Bros screen printed original VEGOOSE concert poster From October 29-30. This poster includes the actual ticket from that day. These tickets were in the form of a Las Vegas playing card (the Ace of Spades) The poster features vibrant colors and bold fonts that capture the energy and excitement of the band’s live performances as well as the sought after beauty of every AMES BROS Poster. AMES BROS Posters are highly sought after and have very limited print runs. The concert event included Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh and Friends, Beck, The Flaming Lips, Primus, Arcade Fire, Spoon, as well as many other acts as listed on poster. The poster does have small pieces of tape on the back because it was mounted on a matted frame which is not included.

CONDITION: some rippling, dings, dents and creasing. Very rare early vintage Hatch poster. Very scarce piece and hard to find as few survived. MEASURES: “13 x 21.85″ APPROXIMATELY. Hatch Show Prints are printed on antique printing presses with hand carved woodblock, hand carved linoleum and sometimes metal photo plates when images are incorporated. The blocks and plates are inked by hand via brayer roller & the paper is then hand pulled for each color by the artist/designer for that project. This piece was printed at Hatch Show Print’s previous location at 316 Broadway in downtown Nashville in 1997. Hatch Show Print has since moved their shop and place of operation to the Country Music Hall of Fame location in downtown Nashville.

MOUNTAIN RARE 1971 Original Concert Poster Farm Show Arena Harrisburg, Pa

Here we have a super rare poster – especially for Central Pennsylvania / Harrisburg Concert Goers! This is a rare Original Print (kind of like a Hatch Print on heavy poster board – but made by “Posters Inc” in Philly) – from the October 7, 1971 MOUNTAIN concert at the Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania! Size of the poster is 14×22 inches. The show was put on by “Color Productions”. Funny to see where tickets were available at the old Harrisburg area stores – Shenk & Tittle, Chess King, Stan’s Record Bar in Lancaster, etc. Poster is way cool and would look great framed but has TONS of wear – water stains, rips, tears, creases, bends, tape residue on the back, writing on that back, dirt, holes, etc. SEE THE PHOTOS FOR WHAT YOU WILL GET!!! No where near mint! Regardless you never see this one around and it is super rare so hopefully someone will frame it up for their mancave or music room!

Pale blue background cardstock with slight gold metallic & deep blue inks. Wonderful texture with deep imprint marks on type and Buffalo. Really great design on this piece. Hatch Show Prints are printed on Antique Printing Press with hand carved woodblock, linoleum or metal plate, and are hand inked & hand pulled for each color by the artist/designer for that project. It is not uncommon to see stacking or bleed/plate marks on the reverse side of the artwork. The Hatch Artist/Designer will sometimes print their name or initials on the poster. This one is by J Hutfless (Jessica Hutfless).

This poster was manufactured by America’s Best Attractions, a Kansas City, MO. Time frame is circa 1968. These posters were used to advertise the shows as the band toured. Size is 22″ x 14″. Printed on heavy orange paper with black ink. This poster is from a collection started in the early 1960’s by the original collector. It was acquired in a sale, so provenance of individual posters is unknown, but the collector had MANY original 1950s-70s posters in their collection. Condition of all posters is VG+ to excellent, each specific condition will be quoted in the listing.

Left border has four deep scuffs; bottom border has three nicks; bottom border also has a faint clear glue remnants likely from a. That hung below the poster with additional information; bottom border corners are creased; a couple small spots of paperloss in the bottom left corner “L” in ELLA; diagonal bottom left corner crease below “AL”; writing top left corner; tanning/darkening one third of the poster; some surface scuffs. Blank top border of poster was trimmed which was quite common for movie and concert window cards. Poster measures 22″ x 24″; poster originally measured 22″ x 28″. BACKGROUND: Chuck Berry 1955 Big Rock & Roll Show Concert Poster with Maybellene. This is a remarkably early concert poster advertising the new teenage phenomenon of rock’n’ roll, headlined by founding father, Chuck Berry, and calling out Berry’s first hit single Maybellene. Eight other fine R&B musicians round out this jumbo advertising window card, but Berry more than steals the spotlight; it’s generally considered a Chuck Berry poster. The other musicians had a lot of hits, but Mr. Berry shook the world on its axis as he co-invented rock’n’ roll at this very moment. This is the only concert poster ever seen that used the term “Chuck Berry Trio”, referring to piano player Johnnie Johnson and drummer Ebby Hardy. “Trio” was soon dropped and Chuck became a major star in his own right, although Johnson helped Chuck endlessly in the 1950’s, resulting in Johnson’s own induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rather than using a head shot or standard publicity photos like all the other musicians, fortunately we have Chuck playing his world-beating electric guitar and looking down at his fingers in the process. HATCH SHOW PRINT ORIGINAL LETTERPRESS CONCERT POSTER. THIS IS A VERY LARGE HATCH PIECE, MEASURING A WHOPPING 28″ x 14-1/2″. Original House Band for World Famous Robert’s Western World in Nashville, TN. EXTREMELY SCARCE VINTAGE 1996 ORIGINAL ADVERTISING POSTER. MEASURES: 28″ × 14-1/2″ approximately & is larger than most Hatch pieces. Definitely makes a statement. Appears to have some light stacking or printer inky finger smears of black ink in the red type area located on right side of poster. 6 vertical crease/indentation line from far right band member (Don Herron) nose area to top of number’9. Reverse side has markings, including stacking/ink bleed marks and same indented line mark that appears on front. There is a thumb nail size piece of paper torn from verso, which does not interfere with appearance on the front. Wonderful piece of Nashville history for any honky tonk & country music collector. BR5-49 members as pictured. They assumed the name BR5-49 (from the telephone number of a used car dealer in a running Junior Samples comedy sketch on the television series Hee Haw), and began playing for tips at Robert’s before being discovered by Arista Nashville in 1995.
