R. E. M. CONCERT POSTER ART Lot of 25 unique tour posters
25 posters: the complete R. Artist designed silk screen tour posters covering the years 2004 and 2005. Very limited pressing to only 200 posters each show, and to a few shows 300 posters (as far as I know Antwerp, Berlin, London Hammersmith Apollo). I personally bought these posters in 2004 and 2005 straight from the R. This might be the only complete set in the world! All posters are uniquely numbered and a lot are also signed by the designing artist. Check out the pictures underneath to get a full overview. Designing artists: Several artists have designed a number of posters. Some were known to me, some I could retrace using google, some I couldnt and those are mentioned with a question mark. The designing artists I found are. The Heads of State. Pictures were taken using a glass plate. The mentioned sizes are the approximate sizes measured up by me. I dont take any responsibility in case the real sizes might differ a bit here and there. Wait until you actually have received the posters before arranging frameworks etc. Quality of the posters is very good to excellent and mint. None have ever been hung. They have been stored away in tubes, waiting for the day I would own a house big enough to put them on the wall. I do have so much art however, that I decided to sell them as a lot. One of the corners of the Manchester poster has a bit of wear, which was unfortunately already there when I received it back in 2005. Check out the picture. Every tube will contain 3 or 4 posters maximum to not damage anything. These tubes will all go together in one carton box. So there will only be one package to send, not eight. I will pack everything most careful. I live in The Netherlands so these posters will be sent from here. Set of Two MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND JAM Concert Posters in Philadelphia 1999 with RATDOG, BO DIDDLEY, LOS LOBOS, BELA FLECK and the FLECKTONES and many more! Original and Signed by the Artist. This is a set of two original concert posters printed to promote the Memorial Day Weekend Jam on the River’99 in Philadelphia, featuring Ratdog with Bob Wier of the Grateful Dead. Two posters for the same event. The image in the first poster, with the green background, was determined’unsuitable’ after printing and the poster was redesigned and printed again. These are the fifth in the Electric Factory Numbered Series Posters. No EF series collection will be complete without both images. The shows include Ratdog with Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman, Bo Diddley, Los Lobos, Spin Doctors, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and more. An image of Ben Franklin in a tie-dye, shorts, sandles and a ponytail, guitar surfin over a field of skulls. The second poster is the revised version that was actually used to promote the festival–the’b’ poster (bottom image). The skulls are replaced by flowers and other things. There are also numerous other changes made to the design in the 2nd poster, it’s kinda fun to see if you can find’em all. Both posters were printed before the event.
