This is an authentic original (printed BEFORE the concert) handbill / flyer advertising. The CREAM (Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker). Appearing May 25, 1968 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium in California. The reverse side (see my second scan) advertises a series of additional upcoming. Concerts including The Electric Flag, The Union Gap (Gary Puckett), Tiny Tim, Pat Paulsen, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix and Simon & Garfunkel. Printed on a course somewhat heavy paper, it measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and is in. Condition, a horizontal and vertical fold (it’s been pressed flat for some time, though), and some stains in the upper right corner. No holes, tears or missing paper. There were three versions. Printed before the show, this being the rarest with the Jimi Hendrix mention on the reverse. One of the all time classic Bill Graham posters, in the Fillmore series. This is BG 109 OP-1 or first printing, from the Cream’s Farewell Tour in 1968. This poster is almost 50 years old. Concert dates were Feb 29 to March 3 1968, with shows at the Winterland and Fillmore Concert Halls. This very cool and super colorful poster is hand SIGNED by LEE CONKLIN in the bottom centre. Cream was the first super group with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton. Measures 13 31/32 X 21 3/32 the condition is not mint.. But has NO tape at all NO holes at all… The white in Cream has toned or faded to creem color, but the colors are still very bold and colorful… A slight blue fade under… Would frame up great.
