Grateful Dead – QSM – Avalon FD-45-1 – First Print Mouse Concert Poster – GREAT. This beautiful Grateful Dead poster was designed by Mouse and Kelley for a January 1967 show at the Avalon Ballroom. The interesting use of fluorescent orange with a Mucha-like central image captivates the viewer. The original print run for these Family Dog posters must have been small, because they rarely show up. The original poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14? X 20? . The gold color on the original is a true gold-brown color. Print Type: Show Edition (SE). Designers: Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley. Size: 14.031″ x 20 3/64″ (35.64 x 50.92 cm). Series: Family Dog (FD). Band: Quicksilver Messenger Service (QMS). One pin hole top center edge, and bottom center edge, plus top left corner. 1/2 tear at top, vertical. Can be hidden with framing. 2 – 1/4 tears on the right side. Some bends in the upper right corner. They are from the collection and due to the sheer volume of records to sell, they are individually un-tested as to playability. This listing comes from the Lone Star Dead Radio estate, of Eric Schwartz. It is something of his.
