A uniquely rare, FULL COLOR concert poster. Printed on slick, glossy, thick COATED card stock – featuring striking hues of blue and a few colors that don’t officially exist. BIG – over 24 inches tall. A design that will catch you looking at it again and again for hidden insights. They’re there, for sure… But it’s up to you to witness the revelations for yourself. Just like when you “got” Elliott Smith for the very first time. Approximately 100 of these originals were ever printed. Obviously a labor of love because promoters RARELY go to this much poster expense for a small venue concert. PLEASE NOTE : The poster is NOT mint, but before I tell you the flaws, I need to tell you something amazing about this piece. Because of the art design and all the various hues, most of the flaws that ARE here… That’s not a sales pitch. Looking head on, it’s hard to see most of them at all. I had to photograph them in harsh light, at various angles to capture issues (angles you’ll never see when it’s framed on your wall). The most glaring issues are some bends in the upper left corner. There are a couple. Mostly visible in the white area that will be covered by a frame. There are a couple of close-up pics that show these. But AGAIN, because of the design of the art itself, it ALL looks like part of the artwork (look at the full length pic to see). There are even some areas of the original art that LOOK like they might be flaws but are NOT in any way. THAT is the accidental beauty of this art design. The imperfections blend in with the perfection. You’ll see once you get it. At angles and in harsh light, the flaws are evident. Head on, or in a frame on the wall, most will be disguised and others that view it will be none the wiser. Whoever had this before me, pasted velcro tabs on the back (presumably to hang on the wall without a frame). They’re on pretty good, and I haven’t tried to remove them. Those, obviously, will be hidden from view, too. Given how absolutely rare this item is, you’ll be happy to even have it at all, because those that own them… There we’re only about a 100 of these originals made by a promoter that loved Elliott Smith more than his blown promotion budget in printing these up.
